Alis Volat Propriis Print YellowAlis Volat ProPriis is latin for she flies with her own wings. Not only is it Oregan's state motto, but it is also the unofficial motto of my daughter. Ellie Byrd was born more than a year ago with a duplication of the 19th chromosome and since then I have adopted this as her motto. I made this into a t-shirt first but then enlarged it so it would work better as wall art. We are not sure yet what a duplication of the 19th chromosome will mean long term, but all proceeds from this image will be put into her 529 college savings plan so she can spread those wings of hers and fly just like this swallow.
